Indian Trail, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs opened up action Wednesday afternoon with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Catawba College in NCAA Beach Volleyball action, which gave the first-year 'Dogs their third consecutive victory. The Indians responded with a 3-2 victory of their own in the second match.

MATCH ONE | WINGATE 3 CATAWBA 2 (Box Score)

- Amelia Talbott and Lilou Thieme won in thrilling fashion at number one
- After winning 23-21 in the opening frame, the reigning SAC Pair of the Week reeled off five straight points to win 22-20 and claim the match
- Emma Brugh teamed with Zelasia Edwards for a 21-18, 21-17 win at number four
- London Moultrie and Lilly DeLamielleure rallied for an 18-21, 21-10, 15-10 win at three
- The 15-10 victory in the third frame clinched the Wingate victory

MATCH TWO | CATAWBA 3 WINGATE 2 (Box Score)

- Talbott and Thieme won 21-19, 21-17 at number one
- Brugh and Edwards prevailed 21-18 and 22-20 at five
