Bulldogs drop a pair of tight 3-2 matches at Catawba Wednesday

Salisbury, N.C.----The Catawba College Indians collected a pair of 3-2 victories over visiting Wingate University in college beach volleyball action. Catawba moves to 6-4 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 8-16 on the season.

MATCH ONE | CATAWBA 3 WINGATE 2 (Box Score)

- Amelia Talbott and Lilou Thieme prevailed 21-19, 21-12 at number one
- London Moultrie and Lilly DeLamielleure notched a 21-18, 21-16 victory at three
- Ella Harm and Naomi Hilliard dropped a tight 21-14, 12-21, 12-15 match at two
- Alyssa Margelis and Michaela Benfield fell in a tough 24-26, 19-21 match at four

- Talbott and Thieme won 22-20, 21-14 at number one
- The back-to-back SAC Pair of the Week has won 10 straight matches
- Hilliard and Harm won 22-20, 22-20 at number two
- Moultrie and DeLamielleure fell in a tough 21-14, 19-21, 11-15 match at three
- Margelis and Benfield also lost a three-set match at four, falling 23-21, 21-23, 13-15
- Zelasia Edwards and Emma Brugh dropped a 19-21, 17-21 match at five
