RESULTS | 2025 Wingate Super Sprint Kickoff team standings
 
Wingate, N.C.----The NCAA Division II No. 1 Wingate University women's triathlon team swept the team and individual crowns in the Bulldog SuperSprint Kickoff Sunday. Wingate defeated one top 10 NCAA Division I program (No. 9 Duquesne) and two top 10 Division II squads (No. 8 Emmanuel and No. 10 Newberry).
 
The Bulldogs won their fourth consecutive SuperSprint Kickoff event with 110 points. The United States Naval Academy finished second with 75. Duquesne and Emmanuel tied for third with 28 points, while Newberry claimed fifth place with 11 markers.

On the event: "The women's team was exciting to watch as freshmen Bulldogs Vanda Křížková and Shelby Lajeunesse raced well together in both the finals and preliminary races. They worked well on the bike and it will be exciting to watch them perform at the Lake Davidson Collegiate Cup in two weeks."
 
"Our sophomore class finished the scoring sweep, which bodes well for the future. We saw many great performances and improvements in the squad. The team has been working hard in the preseason and this race was a good way to focus their efforts over the next two weeks until Davidson."
 
More on Davidson: "In two weeks, we will compete in the Davidson Collegiate Cup presented by Trane Technologies in Davidson, North Carolina. This September 14 event is when we face our rivals in Queens University of Charlotte (Division I No. 3) and Lenoir-Rhyne University (Division II No. 2). This will also be our main qualifying event for the East Regional in Troutman, North Carolina later in the season."
