Wingate’s Fernando Dehaudt is the SAC Swimmer of the Week award winner

Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University sophomore Fernando Dehaudt (Menen, Belgium) is this week's South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Swimmer of the Week, as selected by the league's corporate office. Dehaudt is honored for the first time this season and the third time in his Bulldog career.

Dehaudt picked up a huge victory in the 1000 Freestyle (9:20.93) and a second-place finish in the 500 Freestyle (4:35.09) against two top-10 teams during Wingate's double-dual meet at Tampa with Lynn Saturday, January 10. His 1000 Free effort is one of the top-ranked swims in Division II this month.
 
The No. 5 Wingate men's swimming team defeated No. 9 Lynn University at the Benson Riseman Aquatic Center on the University of Tampa campus Saturday, January 10. The host and No. 3 UT Spartans defeated both Wingate and Lynn in the same clash of the top 10 titans.

On the Horizon for the Bulldogs

The South Atlantic Conference championship meet is February 4-7 in Kingsport, Tennessee. The four-day event will be contested at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.
