Mill Spring, N.C.----The Wingate University men's indoor track and field team posted 10 personal-best times at the Tryon Banked College Invitational Friday. Freshman sprinter/hurdler Jacoby Craig led the way with personal-best marks in the 60 meters (7.24) and the 60-meter hurdles (8.42).

"Our team vibe Friday was great. This is a brand-new facility where we have not previously competed. It was a great opportunity for us to test everything out. Bryce Anthony was very busy Friday, competing back-to-back-to-back in the 60 meters, the 60-meter hurdles and the 1000 meters. Personally, the 5000 meters was great for me. I have been a little under the weather, but I was able to pull out a PR…which makes this a good day."

No. 1 Wingate men's T&F news and notes
 
- Jaylen Nelson finished eighth in the high jump, thanks to his mark of 1.93 meters
- Ty'Zire Hawkins took 15th place in the triple jump with his leap of 13.54 meters
- Jacoby Craig was one of four 'Dogs to achieve personal-best times in the 60-meter dash
- Craig ran a team-best time of 7.24, while Javon Moss was next at 7.29
- David Levant was next on the WU 60-meter dash charts (7.31, PR)
- Tyler Little and Eddie McGill also had 60-meter dash PRs at 7.54 and 7.74, respectively
- Craig's 60-meter hurdles time of 8.42 allowed him to finish 10th in the event
- Three WU runners had personal-best marks in mile run, led by Damon Cook (4:29.19)
- Benjamin Kamperman and Joshawa Huneycutt also posted PRs in the mile run
- Mile run times: Kamperman (4:31.37) and Huneycutt (4:31.65)
- Kenton Fields ran a personal-best time in the 5000 meters (16:35.84)
