Wingate, N.C.----The nationally-ranked Wingate University women's triathlon team will host the inaugural Conference Carolinas championships Sunday on the Wingate campus. Six teams will visit Union County for the first-ever NCAA triathlon conference championships.
What They Are Saying
Wingate head women's triathlon coach
Nick Radkewich
"We are very excited that Conference Carolinas has provided our team the chance to compete in a conference championship. For the past five years, our team has watched other Bulldog squads participate in conference events…this will be another step for triathlon towards NCAA Championship status."
"The team is ready to compete for the title and we are fortunate to be hosting here on campus so they have home course advantage. I look forward to have multiple Bulldogs in the A final, led by our team captains
Paula Auschill and
Pia Diemer.
Vanda Krizkova and
Shelby Lajeunesse will be right there as well."
"I am most excited to see who captures the fifth scoring spot from the rest of the squad. Despite the rain, I hope that campus will come out to watch this historic event."
