Lakeland, Fla.----Wingate University sophomore women's golfer
Amely Bochaton won her 10th career title Tuesday, taking the individual crown in the Lady Moc Classic. Bochaton finished 54 holes at three-under-par 213, six shots better than Tampa senior
Ruth Toennessen.
On the team charts, the No. 1 Bulldogs finished second to No. 17 Barry. Wingate had an eight-over-par 296 Tuesday to complete 54 holes at 905. The Barry Buccaneers had a five-over-par 293 to finish three rounds at 896. Florida Southern College hosted this event at the
Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
Consistency helps No. 1 Bochaton take Lady Moc Classic crown
Bochaton gives Wingate two Lady Moc Classic medalists in two years, as
Jess Brown ('25) won last year's title. In Tuesday's third round, Bochaton had 12 pars, three birdies and three bogeys on the way to her even-par 72. Bochaton's second-round tally of four-under-par 68 was the low 18-hole score for the tournament. She finished 54 holes with a team-best 12 birdies.

Jacqueline Gonzalez Howard had a 74, while sophomores
Haley Paramore and
Olivia Meinecke had identical 75s. Both Gonzalez Howard and Paramore finished inside the top 25.
Barry's five-over-par 293 was the second-lowest round Tuesday. On the team leader board, the top five included Barry, Wingate, No. 12 Lynn (907), No. 2 Anderson (911) and No. 22 Eckerd (913). Fifteen teams and 93 student-athletes competed in this year's Lady Moc Classic.

Up Next for No. 1 Wingate women's golf
Wingate hosts the fifth annual Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate tournament March 9-10 at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe. The Bulldogs have won four-of-four Surratt Memorials, including the 2025 version by one shot over SAC rival Anderson.
