Winston-Salem, N.C.----The Wingate University men's and women's track and field teams lead the pack after the first day of the South Atlantic Conference indoor championship meet at the JDL Fast Track Saturday. The Bulldog men lead Anderson by 35 points, while the WU women have a two-point edge over Catawba. Twelve schools are competing in this year's SAC indoor meet.

The Bulldog men's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 2 in the latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II ratings index, while the Wingate women are No. 14. Both Bulldog indoor teams are No. 1 in the Southeast Region.
