Kingsport, Tenn.----The nationally-ranked Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams are participating in the South Atlantic Conference championship meet at the Kingsport Aquatic Center this week. Preliminaries begin each morning at 10 a.m. Finals will start at 5 p.m.
 
Wingate's Wednesday AM highlights
 
Event 1
Women's 1000 Freestyle
 
Wingate will have three student-athletes swimming in Wednesday's last heat of the timed final, led by Livia Kingsland.
 
Event 2
Men's 1000 Freestyle
 
The Bulldog men will have four swimmers in Wednesday's last heat of the timed final. Leading the way for Wingate is Fernando Dehaudt.
 
Event 3
Women's 200 Individual Medley
 
Four Bulldogs will swim in Wednesday night's A final, led by Nisa Gul Serdar and Annika Luce.
 
Event 4
Men's 200 Individual Medley
 
Five Bulldogs are competing in Wednesday night's A final, led by Andreas Carrascal and Joel Thompson.
 
Event 5
Women's 50 Freestyle
 
Three Bulldogs will compete in Wednesday night's A final. Natalia Dwojak has the top preliminary time for Wingate.
 
Event 6
Men's 50 Freestyle
 
Yassine Sebbata is one of three Bulldogs who will appear in Wednesday night's A final. He had Wednesday morning's top qualifying time of 20.23.
 
Event 7 and Event 8
Women's and Men's 200 Medley Relay
 
The 200 Medley Relay for both women and men conclude Wednesday night's agenda.
