What They Are Saying
Wingate senior student-athlete
Lauren Sutcliffe
Â
"I'm incredibly proud of this team and the victory we were able to achieve. Over the past several weeks, everyone has put in a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication…it truly showed this week. Competing in one of the toughest fields in Division II women's golf and coming out on top is an incredible accomplishment."
Â
"I'm especially grateful to be part of such an amazing group of teammates who continue to push and support one another. I'm also proud of Olivia for her first collegiate win. The season isn't over yet. We're excited to keep pushing and building on this momentum for the rest of the year."
Â
More new standards
Â
In addition to Wingate's all-time low home tournament 54-hole score, the team's second round 282 is a new Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate standard for low team 18 holes. The previous low was a 284 shot by Anderson in the '25 Surratt event. Lee senior
Hannah Nall recorded a seven-under-par 65 in the second round, establishing a new tourney standard for low individual 18 holes. The previous low was a 67, recorded on two separate occasions.
