Friday morning results from the NCAA Division II championship meet

Evansville, Ind.----Wingate University senior Annika Luce will be the number one seed for the 100 Breaststroke championship final at the NCAA Division II swimming and diving national championships Friday night. Luce and two teammates along with two relay squads will swim for national titles this evening. The '26 NCAA swimming event is being contested inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Indiana.
 
Luce swam a 1:01.26 in the morning preliminaries, the fastest time among the 35 competitors. She will be joined in the 100 Breaststroke championship final by senior teammate Natalia Dwojak. The '26 South Atlantic Conference 100 Breaststroke champion, Dwojak swam a 1:01.81 in the AM prelims.
 
Bulldog sophomore Fernando Dehaudt will swim for the 500 Freestyle national championship Friday night. Dehaudt posted a time of 4:22.47 in the morning session. He earned first team All-American honors in the 1000 Freestyle Wednesday night by finishing in sixth place.
 
Wingate's 200 Freestyle Relay squads will swim for national titles Friday night. The Bulldog men are the No. 7 seed, thanks to a qualifying time of 1:18.99. Less than one second separates the top eight times in the men's Friday relay event. The Wingate women are unseeded in the 200 Free Relay.
 
Friday night consolation finals
 
- Junior Vera Karlsson will swim in the women's 100 Back consolation finals
- Karlsson swam the 13th-fastest time in the morning preliminaries (55.57)
- Senior Ney Chagas Filho will compete in the men's 100 Back consolation finals
- The two-time Academic All-American swam a time of 47.83 in morning prelims
- Freshman Nicolo Cariboni will swim in the men's 100 Breast consolation finals
- Cariboni swam the 10th-fastest time in the morning prelims (53.83)
