Newberry, S.C.----The Newberry College Wolves used a four-run sixth inning to rally for a 6-5 victory over visiting Wingate University in game one of Wednesday's South Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader, then held on for a 4-3 victory in game two to improve to 16-22 overall and 7-11 in the SAC, while the 'Dogs fall to 23-17 overall and 8-10 in league play.

- Katie Kapusta got the win, allowing five runs on nine hits in seven innings, striking out one
- Lily Huneycutt took the loss, allowing four earned runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings, striking out four
