Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University student-athletes Dounia Routbi (Figueres, Spain) and Ally Holmberg (Skelleftea, Sweden) are this week's South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, league officials announce from corporate headquarters. Routbi is honored for the second time this outdoor season, while Holmberg receives her first honor.

A senior, Routbi set a new WU school standard in the 100-meter hurdles at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting this past weekend. Her NCAA Division II provisional time of 13.88 is No. 1 in the SAC, No. 2 in the SER and No. 11 in D2.

SAC Field Athlete of the Week
 
A junior, Holmberg posted a new WU school record in the long jump at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting this past weekend. Her NCAA Division II provisional mark of 6.05 meters is No. 1 in the SAC and the SER and No. 6 in D2.
 
Up Next for the Wingate outdoor track and field teams
 
The Bulldogs will compete in the Duke Invitational Friday and Saturday, April 10-11. Duke University hosts this event at the Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium. Presently, the Wingate women are No. 16 in the USTFCCCA outdoor power rankings. The Bulldog men are No. 24 in the USTFCCCA outdoor power rankings.
