No. 1 Wingate advances through quarterfinals before falling in NCAA Championship semifinals

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.----The top-ranked Wingate University women's golf team continued its historic postseason run at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship Thursday, advancing through the quarterfinals before falling 3-2 in the national semifinal match at PGA National.
 
After dominating the stroke play portion of the championship by 20 shots, the Bulldogs opened medal match play with a hard-fought quarterfinal victory over Missouri-St. Louis before battling Anderson in the semifinal round.
