Wingate University Athletics

Sophomore Tesfom Mehari (Charlotte, N.C.) helped the Wingate men’s cross country team win the Wingate University Pre-Conference Invitational Thursday. An All-South Atlantic Conference performer in 2008, Mehariwas second with a 5K time of 16:54.

 

The Wingate men claimed six of the top 11 spots Thursday. The Bulldogs are preparing for the Food Lion SAC championship meet Saturday, Oct. 24. The Wingate men placed second at the 2008 event, as four student-athletes earned All-SAC honors.
