Wingate, N.C.----After opening the 2012 season at home on Tuesday against Erskine, the Wingate University softball team hits the road for their next 17 games. That road trip begins this weekend, as the Bulldogs travel to Coker Saturday and Mount Olive Sunday. Both games start at 1 p.m. Wingate enters the weekend 1-1 on the season. Before practice on Friday, sophomore infielder Hayley Whitley (Monroe, N.C.). and head coach Michelle Caddigan spoke about the upcoming weekend.
