Charlotte, N.C.----The Wingate University women’s tennis team dropped only six games in nine matches, earning a 9-0 NCAA Division II victory over Johnson C. Smith University Friday afternoon at the Coleman/Cuthbertson Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs remain undefeated, improving to 5-0 overall on the young season. The JCSU Golden Bulls fall to 0-5 overall.

Ali Evers (Roswell, Ga.) and freshmen
Becca Thomas (Alpharetta, Ga.) and
Tiffany Williams (Cary, N.C.) won two matches each for the visiting Bulldogs. An All-SAC performer, Evers teamed with Thomas to earn an 8-0 victory in the number one doubles match. Thomas was perfect Friday, as she recorded a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at the number two singles flight.
