Rock Hill, S.C.----The South Atlantic Conference announced the 2026 women's tennis regular season award winners Wednesday afternoon, with five Bulldogs earning league recognition. Anastasia Oktiabreva has been named the SAC Freshman of the Year, earning first team All-SAC singles and doubles honors. Claudia Vallejos is a second team All-SAC singles & doubles selection, with Fernanda Castillo collecting third team all-conference accolades. Daniela Kotara is a first team All-SAC doubles honoree, while Mariia Bobrovska collects second team doubles accolades.

Oktiabreva is the 41st-ranked singles player in the country. She is 9-6 in singles play during her first season at Wingate, going 6-1 against league opponents. Oktiabreva is 4-0 at #2 singles, posting a 5-6 mark at number one singles.

Vallejos has collected eight victories this season, going 8-6 overall including a 5-1 mark in league play. She is 5-5 at number two singles, going 3-1 at number one singles.

Castillo is 7-3 in singles play this season, which includes a 3-1 mark against league opponents. She is 6-3 at #3 singles, adding a win at four singles.

The doubles team of Oktiabreva and Kotara has compiled a 12-2 record this season, playing every match at number one doubles. The duo is 7-1 against league opponents this season.

The duo of Vallejos and Bobrovska has compiled an 11-2 doubles record this season. They are 6-1 against conference opponents, with all 11 victories coming at number three doubles.

Wingate is the number three seed in the SAC Tournament this week. The Bulldogs face LMU Thursday, April 16 at 2 p.m., with the winner advancing to Friday's semifinals to face the LR-LMU winner at 1 p.m. The championship match is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. Every match will take place at Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
