Sumter, S.C.----The second-seeded and 15th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears defeated third-seeded and 13th-ranked Wingate University 4-2 in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference women's tennis tournament Friday afternoon. The Bears improve to 15-2 overall, advancing the SAC title match, while the Bulldogs fall to 15-6 on the season.

DOUBLES

- The Bears collected 6-2 and 6-4 wins at two and three doubles to claim the point
- Anastasia Oktiabreva and Daniela Kotara led 5-4 at one doubles when the point was clinched
- Lenoir-Rhyne took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Oktiabreva prevailed 6-3, 6-4 at two singles
- Benedetta Palazzo collected a 7-6, 6-3 win at six singles
- The Bears picked up victories at three, four and five singles to secure the win
- Claudia Vallejos was in a third set at one singles after winning 6-1 in set two, tied at four in the third set
