Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate Univesity women’s tennis team got back on the winning track Wednesday, taking a 9-0 South Atlantic Conference victory over visiting Catawba College at the WU Tennis Complex. The number 40 Bulldogs are 11-4 overall and 4-1 in the SAC. The Catawba Indians are 8-13 overall and 1-7 in the SAC.
 
The Bulldogs did not lose a set Wednesday. In number one singles, sophomore Ali Evers blanked Catawba’s Sloan Kessler 6-0, 6-0. Earlier in the day, Evers and freshman Becca Thomas defeated Kessler and Maggie McKee 8-2 at the number one doubles flight.
