Bryan Bayliss (Lorton, Va.) posted three goals and three assists to help the Bulldogs record a 13-7 Deep South Conference men’s lacrosse victory over Florida Tech Monday night at Central Catholic High School’s Hustler Stadium.
With the victory, Wingate improves to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the DSC. The Bulldogs visit Florida Southern College Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. DSC encounter. The first-year Florida Tech Panthers are 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the DSC. Florida Tech hosts DSC foe Catawba College Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Bulldog junior attack
Derek Watts (Winston-Salem, N.C.) had three goals and two assists, while senior attack
David Lee (Greensboro, N.C.) tallied two goals. For Florida Tech, freshman midfields
Andrew Conley (Orlando, Fla.) and
Christian Isola (Holmdel, N.J.) had two goals each.
Wingate senior goalkeeper
Danny Dlugozima (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) went the distance, recording 11 saves and allowing seven goals. Florida Tech junior goalkeeper
Mason Cook (Hollywood, Md.) also played 60 minutes. The Wingate transfer surrendered 13 goals and notched save saves.
