Savannah, Ga.----The Wingate University softball game at #11 Armstrong Atlantic has been officially called, with the game ending in a 2-2 tie. Wingate scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning, but with one out in the bottom of the eighth, rain stopped the game. Conditions never improved and softball was cancelled for the rest of the day. Since the eighth inning was not completed, officials ruled the game to end in a 2-2 tie. Wingate is now 10-4-1 overall while Armstrong moves to 10-2-1 overall.

Rain has altered Sunday’s schedule. Wingate was originally scheduled to take on Queen Saturday afternoon, then take on Armstrong and Queens again on Sunday. Due to rain, the Bulldogs will only play one game Sunday, taking on Queens at 12 p.m.
