Augusta, Ga.----The 32nd-ranked Wingate University men’s tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision against 18th-ranked Georgia College Wednesday afternoon. The 34th-ranked Wingate women lost 6-3 against #18 Georgia College. The Bulldog men fall to 8-4 overall, while the women fall to 7-4 on the season.
The Wingate men won two of three doubles matches on Wednesday. Sophomore
Neal Towlson (Warwick, Bermuda) and freshman
Roberto Hennis (Raleigh, N.C.) registered an 8-6 win in number one doubles. Sophomore
Josh Eardley (Newcastle, England) teamed with freshman
Sebastian Hall (Lorrach, Germany) for a 9-7 victory at number three doubles.

Kennedy Cancelado (Miami Springs, Fla.) collected an impressive win in number one singles action, prevailing 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (10-7) against 47th-ranked
Johan Wadstein. Hennis registered a 7-6, 6-4 win at number four singles to notch his second victory of the day.

Tiffany Williams (Cary, N.C.) teamed with senior
Helen Goreski (Oakville, Ontario) for an 8-4 win at number three doubles.
Senior
Kelli Ferguson (Concord, N.C.) won 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 at number five singles, while Goreski won 6-2, 6-2 at number six singles for the Bulldogs.
Both teams are in action Thursday, taking on Augusta State at 12 p.m.
