Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University softball doubleheader against Belmont Abbey, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been postponed due to weather. A makeup date has not yet been set. The postponement is due to the winter storm, which has dumped over seven inches of snow on the Wingate area since Tuesday afternoon.

Wingate will return to action Wednesday, Feb. 19, traveling to Mount Olive for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs are 8-0 overall, off to their best start since the 2007 season. For more information on Wingate schedule changes, go to wingatebulldogs.com or follow Wingate Athletics on Twitter.
