Savannah, Ga.----The Armstrong Atlantic Pirates scored four runs in the last two innings Wednesday afternoon, rallying for a 5-4 victory over 29th-ranked Wingate University in NCAA Division II baseball action. Armstrong improves to 13-7 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 15-6 on the season.
Ryan Patterson had a homer and three RBI to lead the Armstrong attack.
Clayton Miller went two-for-four with two RBI and a run scored, while
R.J. Dennard was three-for-four with a run scored for the Pirates.

Tyler Avera singled, stole second, then scored on an RBI single from Miller to make it 1-0.
Wingate tied the game in the fifth when Prince connected on his first homer of the year, a solo shot to left to make it 1-1.
The Bulldogs took the lead in the seventh, when Somers was hit by a pitch to start the frame, then went to second on Clark's single. They moved up on Cherry's sacrifice, while an RBI fielder's choice from Prince allowed Somers to score, making it 2-1.
A walk and two hit batsmen loaded the bases for Wingate in the eighth. Cherry plated the first run with an RBI fielder's choice, while a two-out RBI single from Prince made it 4-1.
The Pirates tied it in the bottom of the frame when Patterson connected on a three-run homer, making it 4-4.
Dalton Johnson reached on a one-out double in the ninth, then scored on Miller's game-winning RBI single up the middle.
Mitchell Dolan got the win, working a perfect ninth for the Pirates to move to 1-3 on the year. Sophomore right-hander
Tyler Brown (Suffolk, Va.) took the loss, falling to 1-1. He allowed four runs on three hits in 2 2/3 innings, striking out one.
