Wingate, N.C.----The 47th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a 7-1 victory over visiting Brevard College in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs have now won 30 consecutive SAC matches, improving to 5-4 overall and 4-0 in the SAC. The Tornados fall to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Andrea Ternera (Bogota, Colombia) for an 8-6 win at number one doubles, while freshmen
Oroma Womeodu (Memphis, Tenn.) and
Maria Garcia (San Carlos, Venezuela) cruised to an 8-0 win at number two doubles. Wingate won at number three doubles via forfeit.
The Bulldogs picked up wins at number five and six singles via forfeit. Womeodu won 6-0, 6-2 at number three singles, while Tanik notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at number four singles. Junior
Caroline Holland (Spartanburg, S.C.) won the first set 7-5 at number two singles, but the second set was halted due to rain.
Wingate is back in action Tuesday, traveling to Newberry for a 2 p.m. start.
