Box ScoreSavannah, Ga.----The fifth-seeded and 27th-ranked Flagler College Saints won two of three doubles matches Sunday afternoon, then prevailed in the first three singles matches to register a 5-1 victory over fourth-seeded and 35th-ranked Wingate University in the NCAA Southeast regional women's tennis action. The Saints improve to 14-10 overall, while Wingate sees its 14-match winning streak come to an end, finishing the season at 16-5 overall. The 'Dogs went 16-2 against Division II opponents in 2015.

Oroma Womeodu (Memphis, Tenn.) picked up an 8-2 victory. Wingate's number one doubles team of sophomore
Andrea Ternera (Bogota, Colombia) and senior
Becca Thomas (Alpharetta, Ga.) dropped a tough 8-6 match.
The Saints picked up victories at two, three and four singles to clinch the match. Ternera dropped a first-set tiebreaker at number one singles and was leading 5-3 in the second set when the match was clinched. Sophomore
Layla Tanik (Raleigh, N.C.) dropped a tough match at four singles, falling 6-4 and 7-5.
It was another successful season for the Bulldogs. Wingate went 11-0 in the SAC, while going on capture the SAC Tournament title. The 'Dogs were making their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and SAC-best 13th all-time. Wingate has won four of the last five SAC Tournament championships. The Bulldogs have also won five consecutive regular season titles, giving Wingate nine SAC championships in the last five seasons.
