Bulldog women are number 39 in Oracle/ITA NCAA Division II top 50 poll

Skillman, N.J.---- The Wingate University women's tennis team continues their season ranked in the top 50 of the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II top 50 poll. The Bulldog women are currently ranked number 39 nationally. They sit in sixth place on the Southeast Region list.

Wingate is 10-5 overall and 7-0 in the South Atlantic Conference entering today's home league match versus Anderson (2 p.m. first serve). The Bulldogs are 3-1 overall at the Wingate University Tennis Facility this season. Four of Wingate's final five regular season matches are home contests (Anderson, Queens, Coker and Newberry). The Bulldogs visit Limestone April 18 to conclude the regular season.

Wingate was 16-5 overall last season with a 16-2 record against NCAA Division II opposition. The Bulldogs went 11-0 in the SAC, capturing the SAC regular season and tournament titles. Wingate has won four of the last five SAC tournament championships. The 'Dogs have also won five consecutive regular season titles, giving Wingate nine SAC championships in the last five seasons. The Bulldogs have made a SAC-best 13 NCAA tournament appearances as well.
