Gaffney, S.C.----The 39th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs cruised to an 8-1 victory Monday afternoon at Limestone College in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. Wingate wins its eighth straight match, wrapping up the regular season with a 15-5 record. Limestone falls to 11-7 overall.

Caroline Holland (Spartanburg, S.C.) collected her 13th victory of the year, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at four singles. Tanik won 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 at number five singles, moving to 15-3 overall. Homan wrapped things up with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number six singles, picking up the 15th victory of her freshman season.
The Bulldogs are the number one seed in this week's South Atlantic Conference Tournament after going 11-0 in the SAC regular season, going undefeated in league play for the fourth year in a row. The defending SAC Tournament champions have a bye in the first round and will open tournament play Friday. The championship match is slated for Saturday. Every match at the SAC Tournament will take place at Brevard.
