Box ScoreWingate, N.C.----The 39th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs went 6-0 in singles play Thursday afternoon, rolling to an 8-1 victory over Coker College in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. The Bulldogs win their 47th straight conference match, moving to 13-5 overall and 10-0 in the SAC. The Cobras fall to 4-11 overall and 3-5 in the conference.

Layla Tanik (Raleigh, N.C.) and freshman
Sydney Homan (Huntsville, Ala.) cruised to an 8-2 win at three doubles, while freshman
Claudia De Andreis (Milan, Italy) teamed with sophomore
Maria Garcia (San Carlos, Venezuela) for an 8-5 win at number two doubles to give the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead heading to singles play.
Tanik cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles, while junior
Andrea Ternera (Bogota, Colombia) followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win at number two singles to make it 4-1. Senior
Caroline Holland (Spartanburg, S.C.) won 6-3, 6-4 at four singles to clinch the win. De Andreis won 6-2, 6-4 at number one singles, while sophomore
Oroma Womeodu (Memphis, Tenn.) and Homan rolled to 6-0, 6-1 victories at three and six singles.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday, hosting Newberry at 11 a.m. on Senior Day.
