Rock Hill, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had five players earn league honors Thursday morning when the men's soccer all-conference teams were announced. Senior goalkeeper

Elliot Cutts earn first team All-SAC honors, with senior forward
Nate Evans and freshman defender
Jakob Sellhed earning second team accolades. In addition, freshman forward
Soren Nygaard is an honorable mention All-SAC honoree.
Jara wraps up his incredible career by earning first team all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive year. The three-time All-Region honoree is the only three-time All-American in the history of Wingate men's soccer. Jara has been piling up the awards since his first season, when he was named the SAC Freshman of the Year and SAC Tournament MVP. He led the nation in goals-against average during his sophomore season, leading the 'Dogs to their first-ever national title by registering five shutouts in the NCAA Tournament. Jara has 32 shutouts in his Wingate career, ranking second in league history. He registered four shutouts and five victories this season, collecting 41 saves on the year. Jara finished his career with a 51-14-8 overall record.
Cutts earns all-conference honors for the second time in as many years, after earning second team accolades last year in his first season with the Bulldogs. Cutts led Wingate and ranked eighth in the SAC with six goals, adding two assists to rank 11th in the conference with 14 points. The junior started his year with a goal in the season opener at Rollins, while scoring twice in the second game of the year against Saint Leo. Cutts had a goal and an assist in the Flagler victory, while also notching an assist at Anderson. He had two goals including the game-winner in the regular season finale against Coker.
Evans earns All-SAC accolades for the first time in his career. The senior is second on the team with five goals, tying for the team lead with a pair of game winners. Evans ranked 16th in the league in goals. He scored his first goal of the season in the 4-1 victory over Flagler, which he followed by netting the game-winner against Mars Hill. Evans found the back of the net twice in Wingate's 5-1 win at Catawba. He scored the double-overtime winner in the 1-0 victory against Newberry.
Sellhed earns second team All-SAC accolades in his first season at Wingate. The freshman appeared in 13 games, making 11 starts for the Bulldogs. He played a key role in the Wingate defense that finished the year with a 1.47 goals-against average. Sellhed and the Bulldogs were dominant at home this year, allowing only one goal in seven matches at Pride Park, notching six shutouts while going 6-0-1. Sellhed also led the team with three assists on the year. He had a pair of assists in the Flagler victory, while also assisting on the double-overtime game-winner against Newberry.
Nygaard also earns league recognition in his first season at Wingate, picking up honorable mention all-conference accolades. The freshman finished third on the team with four goals, ranking second on the team with two assists to also finish second with 10 points. Nygaard had an assist in the Flagler game, while scoring his first career goal in the Mars Hill victory. He collected an assist in the Catawba win, while scoring against at Anderson. Nygaard scored in the 2-0 victory over Carson-Newman, while also finding the back of the net in the SAC Tournament game at Tusculum.
