Box Score Wingate, N.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs remained unbeaten on the season Thursday afternoon, cruising to a 6-1 victory over West Virginia State University in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. The Bulldogs improve to 11-0 overall, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 6-3 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Claudia De Andreis and Chyi Lee cruised to a 6-1 victory at number two doubles
- Wingate's number two doubles duo is ranked 29th in the nation
- Arianna Ceccaroni teamed with Riann Hsu for a 6-1 victory at three doubles to clinch the doubles point
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Michela Verpelli prevailed 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 at number one singles
- Verpelli is the nation's 14th-ranked singles player
- Hsu cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at three singles
- Lee won 6-1, 6-4 at four singles
- Camilla Ciaccia picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at five singles
- Ceccaroni wrapped up the day with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number six singles
