Box Score Clemson, S.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up their eighth shutout of the season Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 7-0 victory at Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The Bulldogs push their SAC winning streak to 72 matches, moving to 9-0 overall and 3-0 in league play. The only match Wingate did not sweep this season was the 4-3 victory over sixth-ranked Columbus State. Anderson falls to 9-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Michela Verpelli and Alisa Rudenko teamed for a 7-5 win at number one doubles
- Chyi Lee and Claudia De Andreis rolled to a 6-1 victory at two doubles
- Camilla Ciaccia and Sydney Homan prevailed 6-2 at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead to singles play

SINGLES

- Verpelli rallied for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 win at number one singles
- Rudenko rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at two singles
- Riann Hsu won 6-2, 6-3 at three singles
- Lee prevailed 6-1, 6-3 at number four singles
- De Andreis cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win at five singles
- Ciaccia capped the day with an 8-2 victory at number six singles
