Box Score Hickory, N.C.----The 15th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs went 2-1 in doubles play and 4-2 in singles play Wednesday afternoon, prevailing 5-2 at No. 45 Lenoir-Rhyne University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. The Bulldogs improve to 16-1 overall and 8-1 in the SAC, while the Bears fall to 16-4 overall and 6-3 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Claudia De Andreis and Chyi Lee prevailed 7-6 at number two doubles
- Camilla Ciaccia and Arianna Ceccaroni won 6-2 at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Michela Verpelli rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at one singles
- Lee won 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at four singles
- De Andreis prevailed 6-0, 6-4 at five singles
- Ciaccia added a 6-2, 6-1 victory at six singles
