Wingate, N.C.----The Catawba College Indians outscored Wingate University 32-22 in the second half Wednesday night, prevailing 70-56 in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Catawba improves to 9-2 overall and 9-2 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 10-9 overall and 10-9 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER
- A Shemya Stanback three gave Catawba an 11-7 lead four minutes in
- A Coleman layup and Hatfield triple put the 'Dogs on top a minute later
- Buckets from Coleman and Troutman made it 18-15 with 1:53 left
- Two Sara McIntosh free throws with six seconds left pulled Catawba within one
SECOND QUARTER
- An Emily Phillips layup gave Catawba a three-point lead two minutes in
- Back-to-back Davis layups gave Wingate a 29-26 advantage with six minutes left
- Threes from Stanback and Taisha DeShazo, along with a Lyrik Thorne three gave Catawba a six-point lead
- Davis answered with a triple to cut the lead in half
- DeShazo pushed the lead back to six with another triple at the 1:45 mark
- Two Hatfield free throws in the final minute made it 38-34 at halftime
THIRD QUARTER
- Two DeShazo free throws three minutes in extended the lead to seven for Catawba
- A Clark triple and Troutman layup trimmed the deficit to two with 4:24 left
- A McIntosh bucket with three minutes to go made it 47-44
- Catawba scored the final six points of the frame, taking a 53-45 lead on a Lauren Ford three-point play
FOURTH QUARTER
- Two Clark free throws pulled the 'Dogs within six in the first minute
- A triple and two free throws from Throne gave Catawba a 59-47 lead with 7:04 to go
- Wilson's three-point play with three minutes left cut the lead to nine
- DeShazo answered with a layup to make it 63-52
- The lead remained in double figures the rest of the way
