#15 Wingate dominates singles play in 5-2 victory at Tusculum

Box Score Greeneville, Tenn.----The 15th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs bounced back after dropping the doubles point Friday afternoon, winning five of the six singles matches to prevail 5-2 at Tusculum University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the SAC, while the Pioneers fall to 8-4 overall and 5-2 in league play.

DOUBLES

- The Pioneers swept doubles play
- Camilla Ciaccia and Jessica Ruetten dropped a tight 6-4 match at two doubles
- Tusculum won 6-3 at one doubles and 6-2 at three doubles

SINGLES

- Tusculum picked up a win at four singles to take a 2-0 lead in the match
- Ciaccia got Wingate on the board with a 6-3, 6-0 win at two singles
- Riann Hsu rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at six singles to tie the match
- Elena Gunfaus put the 'Dogs on top with a 6-3, 6-1 win at three singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni prevailed 6-1, 7-6 at five singles to make it 4-2
- Elena Bompieri picked up a big 7-6, 6-4 win at one singles to wrap up the win
