Box Score Sumter, S.C.----For the second straight year and sixth time in the last 11 years, the Wingate University Bulldogs are SAC Tournament champions. The Bulldogs won the last two singles matches to prevail 4-3 and capture their 15th overall SAC title in the last 11 years (nine regular season, six tournament). Wingate improves to 16-1 overall, the Royals fall to 12-4 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Elena Bompieri and Georgina Wood teamed for a 6-3 win at two doubles
- Queens won 6-4 at number one doubles
- The Royals won 7-6 at three doubles, winning the tiebreaker 9-7 to take the doubles point
- Queens had a 1-0 lead heading to singles play

SINGLES

- Queens took a 2-0 lead with a win at one singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni rolled to a 6-3, 6-0 win at five singles to get Wingate on the board
- Elena Gunfaus tied the match at two with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at three singles
- Queens won a three-set match at six singles, prevailing 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to take a 3-2 lead
- Camilla Ciaccia prevailed 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 at two singles to make it 3-3
- Georgina Wood won the clincher at four singles
- She lost set one 7-5, but rallied to win 6-3, 6-3 in the final two frames to clinch the title
- Wood was named the SAC Tournament MVP
