#9 Queens edges #22 Wingate 4-3

Box Score Charlotte, N.C.----The ninth-ranked Queens University Royals won the doubles point Monday afternoon, then went 3-3 in singles play to prevail 4-3 over #18 Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. The Royals improve to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 4-6 on the season and 2-1 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Camilla Ciaccia teamed with Suzuka Sambyakugari for a 6-1 win at one doubles
- The Royals won 6-2, 6-1 at two and three doubles to claim the point
- Queens took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Ciaccia prevailed 7-5, 6-3 at one singles for her second win of the day
- Flaminia Guidantoni won 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 at five singles
- Sambyakugari rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at six singles for her second win of the day
- Chloe Kosmrlj dropped a tight 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 match at two singles
- Elena Gunfaus also lost a tough three-set match at three singles (6-4, 1-6, 6-4)
- The Royals added a victory at four singles to notch the victory
