What They Are Saying
Wingate assistant coach Hailey Barajas

"The men's team had some positives to look back on this week. We gave ourselves many opportunities for birdies. When things got challenging, we had a good outlook and moved forward. We hope to take these things into next week for our last regular season tournament before the SAC championship."

"It's great to see Filippo Grossi grow into his potential. He had a great start to the tournament on Monday and although he didn't play as well Tuesday, he battled with his competitors to the very end. He's come very far in his journey as a college student-athlete as a true freshman. I can only imagine the things he will do in the future."

Wingate freshman student-athlete Filippo Grossi

"Although this week didn't go the way I wanted completely, I feel good because my game is getting there and I am one step closer to getting my first win. I am continuing to put myself in contention week after week and I know I'm very close to making a breakthrough. Today I was striking the ball great, but unfortunately, I couldn't get the putter rolling as good as I wanted. Ultimately, it has been a great week getting to play our home course with our whole team by my side."

Wingate junior student-athlete Nick Fleming

"My game was really close this week to giving me a finish at the top of the leaderboard. I know my game is trending in the right direction as I continue to work on the right things."
