Sumter, S.C.----The second-seeded and 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a victory over seventh-seeded and 46th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University in the opening round of the 2023 South Atlantic Conference women's tennis tournament. The Bulldogs improve to 17-3 overall, advancing to Friday's SAC Tourney semifinals, while the Bears fall to 11-11 on the year.

DOUBLES

- Chloe Kosmrlj and Suzuka Sambyakugari teamed for a 6-4 win at one doubles
- Gaya Solomon and Saga Berggren prevailed 6-4 at three doubles
- Elena Gunfaus and Alex Lopez led 4-3 at two doubles when the point was clinched
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Sambyakugari rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at three singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni prevailed 6-4, 6-1 at four singles
- Lopez picked up a 6-3, 6-2 victory at five singles
- Kosmrlj was up a set at one singles when the match was clinched, winning the opener 6-1
- Gunfaus won the first set 7-6 at two singles
- Fernanda Castillo won the opening set at six singles 6-2
