Sumter, S.C.----The second-seeded and 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs captured their third SAC Tournament title in the last four seasons Saturday afternoon, prevailing 4-1 over top-seeded and 18th-ranked Tusculum University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. The Bulldogs improve to 19-3 overall, while the Pioneers fall to 17-6 on the season. Wingate has now won 18 total conference titles over the past 12 seasons, adding this title to the regular season championship. The victory gives the Bulldogs seven SAC Tournament championships all time, along with the 12 regular season titles.

Suzuka Sambyakugari for a 6-3 win at one doubles

Alex Lopez prevailed 6-3 at two doubles to clinch the point

SINGLES
- Sambyakugari won 6-2, 7-5 at four singles
- Kosmrlj prevailed 6-2, 4-6, 6-0 at number one singles to put WU on top 3-1
