Charlotte, N.C.----The Wingate University women's 4x400 meter relay team ran the fastest time in the South Atlantic Conference at the Charlotte Invitational inside the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center Saturday. The Bulldog quartet of
Abby Heath,
Kennedy Rivers,
Natalie Pinzan and
Naiobi White posted a time of 3:53.26, finishing third to the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the UNC Tar Heels.

- White had a busy Saturday, running in both Bulldog relays
- She ran the second leg as Wingate posted a time of 47.77 in the 4x100 meter relay
- White was joined (in order) by
Kierra McNeill,
Justyce Moses and
Chelsey Thomas
- Wingate finished third in the 4x100 to USC Upstate and Grand Valley State
- Thomas was named to the 2023-24 WU School of Sport Sciences Leadership Academy cohort earlier this month

- The GVSU Lakers and the UNC Tar Heels placed first and second, respectively, in the 4x400
- Clunis and Lepkowski pulled double duty, as they ran the first two legs in the 4x100 meter relay
- The 'Dogs posted a time of 42.02 to finish fourth
- Clunis and Lepkowski were joined (in order) by
Vince Frattaroli and
Aidan Bryant
- The host Charlotte 49ers won the 4x100 meter relay

Both Wingate teams will compete in the South Atlantic Conference track and field championship meet Wednesday and Thursday, May 3-4. Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina is hosting this year's event.
