Box Score Due West, S.C.----Wingate University freshman right-hander Collin McDougall tossed seven shutout innings Wednesday afternoon, leading the Bulldogs to a 5-2 victory at Erskine College in NCAA Division II baseball action. Wingate improves to 24-13 overall, while the Flying Fleet fall to 20-15 on the season.

- McDougall got the win, moving to 1-1 on the year
- He allowed two hits in seven shutout frames, striking out six and walking one
- After retiring the side in order in the first, he gave up a one-out single in the second
- He erased that with an inning-ending double play
- McDougall did not allow another base runner until a two-out walk in the seventh, retiring 15 in a row
- Sam Brodersen came in to get the final out of the game to notch the save
- Connor Harrison took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in 1 1/3 innings
