Saint-Peyre, Laros are first team AA; ’Dogs have two qualify for mile run finals

Both Wingate University indoor track and field teams entered the 2025 NCAA Division II indoor national championship meet inside the top 25 for the first time in school history. The No. 4 Bulldog men and the No. 25 WU women did not disappoint their followers on day one of the NCAA Division II indoor national championship meet Thursday.
 
Wingate earned two first team All-American trophies in the men's 5000 meters, while Titouan Le Grix and Mia Cabrera qualified for the mile run championship finals. For the first time in NCAA history, the indoor championships are being held in Indy, inside the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

- Wingate junior Antonin Saint-Peyre finished sixth (13:49.80 PR)
- Bulldog junior Lars Laros finished eighth (13:54.96)
- Both Saint-Peyre and Laros are first team All-Americans
- Adams State's Romain Legendre won the race (13:33.58)
- Legendre's time is a new facility and meet record mark
