West Palm Beach, Fla.----The Wingate University Bulldogs dropped a 5-0 match at Palm Beach Atlantic Friday afternoon, then dropped a tight 3-2 match against Emmanuel on day one of the PBA Invitational. The Bulldogs will play two more matches Saturday in Florida.

MATCH ONE | PALM BEACH ATLANTIC 5 WINGATE 0 – Box Score

- Amelia Talbott and Lilou Thieme dropped a tight 21-15 first set at number one, before falling 21-11 in the second
- Lilly DeLamielleure and London Moultrie fell in a 21-17 opening set at three

MATCH TWO | EMMANUEL 3 WINGATE 2 – Box Score

- DeLamielleure and Moultrie prevailed 21-18, 21-18 at three
- Emma Brugh teamed with Zelasia Edwards for a 21-19, 21-17 victory at five
- Ella Harm and Naomi Hilliard dropped a tight 22-20 second set at number two
