Dallas, N.C.----Playing in the first-ever South Atlantic Conference Beach Volleyball tournament, the Wingate University Bulldogs lost a pair of hard-fought 3-2 matches Friday evening. Wingate lost the opener 3-2 against Tusculum, while falling 3-2 against Emmanuel to close out the day.

MATCH ONE | TUSCULUM 3 WINGATE 2 (Box Score)

- Ella Harm and Naomi Hilliard won 21-17, 21-17 at number two
- Zelasia Edwards teamed with Emma Brugh for a 21-19, 23-21 victory at five
- Alyssa Maragelis and Peyton Culbreth took set two 21-16 at number four after dropping set one
- The duo lost the third set 15-4 as the Pioneers clinched the victory
