Sumter, S.C.----The top-seeded and sixth-ranked Catawba College Indians captured the 2025 South Atlantic Conference women's tennis tournament championship Friday morning, prevailing 4-2 against second-seeded and 17th-ranked Wingate University. The Indians move to 23-0 on the season, while the Bulldogs fall to 17-5 overall. Wingate was playing in the SAC title match for the eighth straight season.
DOUBLES
- The Indians won 6-1 at one double and 6-2 at two doubles
- Catawba took a 1-0 lead into singles play
SINGLES
- A 6-0, 6-3 victory for the Indians at four singles made it 2-0

Fernanda Castillo notched a 6-2, 6-4 win at two singles for the Bulldogs
- A 6-3, 6-1 victory at three singles gave Catawba a 3-1 advantage
