Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University sophomore Sean Clark has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports men's lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday afternoon. Junior Max Mitcho is the SAC Defensive Player of the Week. Clark earns Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season and third time in his career, while Mitcho earns the honor for the first time in his career.

The duo led the Bulldogs to an emphatic 26-7 victory over Coker Wednesday evening, as the #12 Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season in style.

Clark piled up a career-high 10 points in the win, pouring in seven goals while adding three assists on the day. He also had a ground ball while taking 11 shots for the game, scoring all seven goals he put on target.

Mitcho notched a career-high three caused turnovers in the victory, while also adding a ground balls as the Bulldogs held the Cobras to seven goals on the day. Coker never scored more than two goals in a quarter on Wednesday.

Clark leads the Bulldogs with 45 goals on the season, adding 20 assists to rank second on the team with 65 points. The 2024 SAC Freshman of the Year ranks third in the SAC in goals and sixth in points. Mitcho has registered nine caused turnovers on the season, picking up five ground balls while adding a goal.

Wingate is back in action Wednesday, traveling to Limestone to take on the #2 Saints in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference tournament.
