Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University junior attack Kyle Spence has been named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday afternoon. Spence earns Player of the Week accolades for the first time in his career.

Spence had a huge week for the ninth-ranked Bulldogs, leading Wingate to a pair of conference road wins as the 'Dogs moved to 10-2 overall and 5-2 in league play. The Bulldogs started the week with a 17-7 win at Catawba, while following that up with a 21-7 victory at LMU.

Spence had five goals and 10 assists on the week, adding four ground balls and a caused turnover. He started his week with three goals and four assists in the win at Catawba. He scored two more goals at LMU Saturday, handing out six assists while also picking up four ground balls and adding a CT.

Spence has piled up 23 goals and 44 assists this season, adding 25 ground balls and seven CTs. The junior leads the SAC in assists and points, leading the nation in assists while ranking third in points.

Wingate is back in action Saturday, hosting #10 Anderson at 12 p.m. on Senior Day.
