Salisbury, N.C.----The third-seeded and 11th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs dropped a tough 4-3 match against sixth-seeded and 15th-ranked North Georgia Friday afternoon in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Division II men's tennis Southeast Regional. The Nighthawks improve to 13-7 overall, while the Bulldogs end their season at 17-3. All three losses on the season were 4-3 setbacks.

DOUBLES

- Luka Brown and Carlo Rosellini prevailed 6-3 at one doubles
- UNG picked up wins at two and three singles to claim the doubles point
- North Georgia took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- The Nighthawks got wins at one and five singles to go on top 3-0
- Florian Walcher won 6-2, 6-3 at three singles to make it 3-1
- Jashan Joachim prevailed 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 at six singles
- Brown picked up a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory at four singles
- North Georgia won the clincher at number two singles
- Rosellini won set one 7-6, but UNG rallied to take the final two frames 6-4 and 6-2
